Real Madrid transfer news: Julen Lopetegui to rescue La Liga side with double deal
REAL MADRID are set to offload two players onto crisis club Rayo Vallecano before the transfer deadline.
Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui has had a reasonably quiet summer in the transfer market.
Bar the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus and Thibaut Courtois’ capture, Real have stayed away from mega deals during the summer months.
And a couple of further deals should be completed before the August 31 deadline.
AS claim Rayo Vallecano have ‘asked’ Real Madrid for help in the transfer market.
They are seeking a new goalkeeper and No 9.
Andriy Lunin - the Ukrainian goalkeeper signed from Luhansk for around £8m this summer - could be shipped out on loan.
And the 19-year-old shot-stopper may be joined by Raul de Tomas at Rayo Vallecano.
De Tomas, 23, recently signed a new contract at Real and AS claim he is free to find a club on loan for the season this term.
He played for Rayo Vallecano last season, where he scored 24 goals in the Segunda Division.
Real Madrid have already offloaded six players on top of Ronaldo this summer, with Achraf Hakimi, Mateo Kovacic and Theo Hernandez being shipped out on loan.
They have also sold Omar Mascarell to Schalke, while Lucas Torro and Philipp Lienhart have moved to German sides Frankfurt and Freiburg respectively.
