Corrie: Pat Phelan is told to drain the water at the building site
For months, Coronation Street viewers have been left stunned by Pat (played by Connor McIntyre) as he has wreaked havoc on Weatherfield by terrorising Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) and murdering Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey), Andy Carver (Oliver Farnsworth) and most recently, Luke Britton (Dean Fagan).
On Monday night, it appeared his time was finally up when he became trapped in concrete while trying to move the bodies of his victims.
Fortunately for the soap villain, he was rescued by his wife Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and rushed to hospital, but tonight the pair will turn on him.
In a tense double bill, Tim will uncover evidence that proves he scammed their neighbours in the Calcutta flats development, which Pat had previously blamed on Vinny.
When Tim tells Eileen what he has discovered, she finds herself unable to defend him.
However, desperate to hide her husband’s deplorable she begs Tim to keep his findings to himself.
Will Tim keep quiet about Pat’s crimes and what is Eileen planning to do with the information?
Pat’s downfall is just around the corner, with viewers set to see the couple have an explosive showdown.

Coronation Street: Eileen Grimshaw will finally learn the truth about Pat
While many fans are hoping Pat will get his “comeuppance”, soap boss Kate Oates has suggested he could stay in a shocking twist.
She told the Radio Times: “I realise that, at the moment, Corrie is divisive and I will quite happily accept that it’s darker.
“In a character-driven show like Corrie, the audiences engage with stories like this and understand them on a deeper level.
“We are Coronation Street, far from choosing to tell a ‘dark story’, are using a programme’s voice to contribute to this discussion.”

Coronation Street: David will be assaulted by Josh Tucker in coming weeks
She went on to add that the soap will continue to push “darker storylines” in coming months, including David Platt’s (Jack P Shephard) rape.
Speaking of the harrowing plot, Kate said: “With a culture of silence and lack of encouragement or support around emotional literacy, many men struggle to talk, not just about sexual assault but a range of issues.
“This has a huge impact on society. One of the reasons we’ve decided to portray male rape in the show is to raise awareness over an important issue.”
Coronation Street airs tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
