This Morning: Phillip Schofield catches out guest during very heated lazy housewife debate
Phillip Schofield left one of his guests red-faced after he reminded her of something she said during a This Morning debate.
The ITV show discussed a hugely controversial Mumsnet thread which caused outrage on the forum.
One user suggested that housewives are “lazy” and begged to know how they spend their free time when the children have gone to school.
This Morning invited mums Rebecca Jane and Kerry Whelpdale who had very different opinions on the subject and things certainly got heated.

Rebecca, who felt that it was okay to ask what housewives get up to, insisted that she wanted to know about the women who can afford not to go to work and have children in school.
Phillip, 55, insisted that she did call the group “lazy”, and it seemed to cause a stir.
Rebecca replied that she “didn’t say that”, but Phillip caught her out.
The This Morning host said: “Yes, you did. We have a very good researcher who wrote this down.”

Rebecca added: “I didn’t say that, I said they could set a better role more their children in terms of dreams and aspirations.”
Although the debate then rumbled on, they came back to the point at hand.
Kerry told Rebecca: “I heard you backstage [call us lazy].”
Once more, Rebecca continued to insist that she didn’t, but Phillip got involved once more.

He asked: Are you now backing down?”
Rebecca fumed: “No, you’re not telling the truth.”
This comes off the back of This Morning’s win at the National Television Awards earlier in the week.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
