Channel 4 Gogglebox introduces new family and fans immediately notice one major thing

Channel 4 fans were introduced to a brand new family on the latest episode of Gogglebox (October 4).

As fans tuned in to watch people from across the UK react to popular TV programs from the past week, they were surprised to see the show introduce four new faces—a rare move for the series.

Kent natives Michael, his wife Sally and their boys Harry and Jake, who just turned 17, appeared on the screen after being introduced by narrator Craig Cash.

They were heard discussing one of the boys getting their agricultural license at 16 and deciding whether or not to buy quad bikes.

Fans immediately took to social media to react to the new additions, with mixed reviews across the board.

Many fans initially struggled to warm to the newcomers, with some dubbing them “posh”.

“Posh folk aren’t really for #Gogglebox well apart from Gyles and Mary,” said one unsure fan.

“Why add yet another posh family? The show was essentially made for the working class, Caroline Aherne would never have allowed it. Although, Mary and Giles are 'posh' but they're scruffy snobs so they fit the show's concept #Gogglebox,” penned a second, while a third said: “Gogglebox doesn’t need new posho’s we need some commoners from the south-west!!”

But others welcomed the new family and encouraged others to give them a chance.

“Everyone on here, we need new families on #Gogglebox, they put a new family on and within 30 seconds everyone is moaning about them give them a chance FFS we have hardly seen them and they seem less annoying than some of the older people who just repeat the same stuff,” one fan blasted.

Others also threw compliments at the family, dubbing them “smoking hot”.

“The new family are very easy on the eye: well, two of them anyway.”

Another added: “The dad in the new family is smoking hot.”

The last time the show welcomed a new family was in March when fans of the show were introduced to new couple Teresa and Anita.

And fans seemed to be delighted by the new additions as they too took to Xto share their opinions of the couple. 

They wrote: “Excellent additions by what we've seen so far. They seem lovely,” “Oh more newbies. Nice. Welcome to you both,” and “They’re great so far very funny”.

Others shared their shock at the new couple as they shared a selection of funny memes with the caption: 'Who is she?'
