Catchphrase viewers completely lose it as celeb told answer and THEN gets it wrong anyway
CATCHPHRASE viewers were in absolute uproar when the celebrity contestants made potentially the biggest fail ever.
Celebs fail to get Catchphrase despite being given the answer
Catchphrase viewers completely lose it as celeb told answer and THEN gets it wrong anyway
Host Stephen Mulhern introduced the latest round in which a pirate was selling some knock-off movies.
With the answer clearly being “pirate DVDs”, Jimmy Carr gave his response as: “Pirate videos… Pirate DVDs?”
Clearly realising he had just given the correct answer to his fellow contestants, Jimmy, 45, was wounded to learn that Stephen, 40, would only accept his first answer.
The presenter reminded Ellie Simmonds and Fay Ripley to remember what Jimmy said, essentially telling them that the answer had already been given.
Fay Ripley was told the answer and still got it wrong anyway
The studio was in absolute turmoil over the dramatic answer
The Paralympian boldly pressed her buzzer but responded with the wrong answer which caused Stephen to bang his head on the side of the set.
What’s more, Fay, 51, also delivered an incorrect offering and left the whole studio in uproar.
And it seemed that viewers of the ITV gameshow couldn’t quite believe what they were saying and flocked to Twitter to comment on the scene.
Stephen Mulhern was left completely baffled by the answering
One wrote: “Watched this last night. Absolute madness.”
A second laughed: “Ellie Simmons has got to be joking on #catchphrase. No one can be that stupid @jimmycarr looks embarrassed for them.”
Another added: “Watching last nights #Catchphrase & can’t believe how badly Fay & Ellie are doing.”
