Last week, viewers saw the first major death of the series as Eric (played by Jordan Woods-Robinson) lost his life and turned into a walker.
And fans should expect more devastation to come as the eighth episode, which will be the mid-season finale, will run for an extended length of time.
Instead of the usual hour, it will run at 88 minutes including US adverts.
No doubt the lengthy episode will be full of surprises as all-out war between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) rages on.

The title and synopsis for the mid-season finale have yet to be revealed but previous seasons typically feature a dramatic twist.
Could Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) be next to be killed off?
Episodes this season have teased his demise as in the premiere, a Saviour told his father Rick: "Your boy's gonna die.”
Another sneaky hint was when the programme showed Rick in the future red-eyed, with a theory suggesting he had been crying and mourning the loss of his son.

During an interview with Huffington Post, executive producer David Alpert added fuel to the fire as he revealed no one is safe in the post-apocalyptic show.
When asked about Carl’s potential death, he said: ”I think we've shown time and time again that everybody's on the table, and that we're the type of show [where] we don't have a problem deviating from what the comic does.
The Walking Dead continues on AMC on Sunday and will follow a day later on FOX UK. Seasons one to seven are currently available to stream on NOW TV.
