Fans took to Twitter to brand the ITV show “rude” for rushing the former EastEnders star as he recalled being “hours from death” after falling down a waterfall.
The 38-year-old was trapped alone for three days after being chased by a pack of dogs and seriously injuring his leg four months ago.
“I thought if I get into the water, these dogs can’t swim. I didn’t realise how much I was bleeding and I just went over a 20ft drop,” Paul commented.
Revealing how he hit his knee, the actor continued: “I remember seeing my knee hit [a rock] and something just flew out. It was part of my kneecap.”

Panelists Coleen Nolan, Anne Diamond, Nadia Sawalha and Janet Street-Porter looked horrified as Paul said he had to fight off leeches and crabs while lying hurt and alone.
However, Coleen, 52, was later forced to butt in as they were running out of time: “Well Paul, I’m so sorry… We’re just glad you’re here. You made it, incredible story. I hope they turn it into a film.”
Among the angry tweets, one read: “#LooseWomen why invite someone on for their story and not give them enough time? But give a whole eight minutes for competition time! RUDE!”
Someone else agreed: “The one thing I hate about #LooseWomen is they never give guests enough time! Constantly announcing who's coming on then rushing interview.”

Many also said how relieved they were to see Paul alive and well: “So good to see #PaulNicholls making a full recovery, can't believe his ordeal… horrific! #LooseWomen.”
