The This Morning favourite was made to discuss the moment she straddled her dance partner while hosting the ITV show with Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Saira Khan.
The clip of the pair’s gaffe was shown several times with the 57-year-old pointing out it was not planned to win votes.
Ruth claimed she was attempting to stay in character after Anton, 51, slipped up and tried to defer attention away from his error by getting on top of him.
“I know you want to ignore it,” Coleen, 52, started. “I know you want to forget it Ruth, but this was the moment of the weekend. I mean… I know, 100 per cent fact, it was so totally unintentional.”

I would never have planned to do that but Anton literally lost his balance
As a clip of her spouse Eamonn Holmes flashed up from Saturday night, the presenter replied: “Look at my husband!
“It’s that live TV moment, I would never have planned to do that but he literally lost his balance. I’m supposed to be the cape [and he was meant to] woosh me over his leg…”
After Coleen begged to see it the video again, Ruth continued: “Stop! Oh dear… Basically, I’m still the cape, so I thought I’d throw myself over him and cover up his embarrassment.

However, her companion was having none of it and joked: “Shut up! Basically you’re an old slapper, who wanted to get there right at the end… This is the real you!”
Ruth, who found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard, added: “I was disappointed because I thought we’d done a fairly passable Paso, up until that point.”
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV, while Strictly Come Dancing 2017 continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
