EastEnders fans SLAM show over Stacey Fowler bombshell: ‘Has any research been done?’
EASTENDERS viewers branded the show “inaccurate” tonight, amid a shocking development surrounding Stacey Fowler.
EastEnders: Carmel takes Stacey's children away from her
When Carmel Kazemi (played by Bonnie Langford) wrongfully decided to report her (Lacey Turner) to social services for the bruises on baby Arthur’s arm, it wasn’t long before she regretted her hasty decision.
Following another chat with Stacey’s other child Lily (Aine Garvey), Carmel realised her terrible mistake too late.
While she tried to take back her accusation, the grandmother was forced to sit in silent horror as a social worker showed up to the family’s dinner with two police officers in tow.
Distressed by the harrowing scene that sees a devastated Stacey forced to watch her children taken away for the night, fans took to Twitter to complain, suggesting the speed at which she was investigated was highly unlikely in the real world.

Just to clarify social services won't ever just come in and take your children away
“Another s**t portrayal of social workers and children's services on #Eastenders. You don't just take kids just cuz of an anonymous call,”(sic) one upset viewer wrote.
Another person accused the BBC soap of cutting the corners to produce a dramatic storyline, saying: “Do the #EastEnders production team do ANY research into the police/law? Prison for Shirley, remand for Martin & now this b******s with Arthur.”
“Just to clarify social services won't ever just come in and take your children away, they are there to help you, not hurt you! #Eastenders,” a third agreed.
Viewers continued to voice their frustration with producers for the “unrealistic” portrayal, as one person said: “Anon referral to children's services and a social worker & 2 police officers remove children same day? Misinforming the public #EastEnders.”(sic)

“I don’t like Eastenders’ portrayal of social workers, it’s so inaccurate, the job is hard enough @bbceastenders,” another person griped.
How will Stacey react when she discovers the truth about Carmel’s betrayal? Can their relationship ever be repaired?
