Lucy Fallon teases major upcoming drama for Bethany Platt
The actress, who stars as Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, admitted that she would love to land a role in a series much like Doctor Foster.
When asked by OK! magazine if she'd like to follow the same route as Suranne Jones, who played Karen McDonald in Coronation Street, the 21-year-old said she would "love to" but hinted that she's in no rush to leave Weatherfield just yet.
"That would be amazing, especially something like Doctor Foster. I'm obsessed with that show," Lucy told the publication.
"But I also admire people like Helen Worth [who plays Gail] who've been in Corrie for so long. She's so loyal to the show and absolutely loves it."

Could Lucy be joining Doctor Foster for a third series?
This week will see her character Bethany face groomer Nathan Curtis (played by Chris Harper) in court, however, the troubled teen may not make it in time for the trial as she is abducted by his girlfriend Mel (Sonia Ibrahim).
After filming the dramatic scenes, which will play out across the course of the week, Lucy was whisked off to St. Lucia with her boyfriend Tom Leech.
Speaking about their holiday, the soap star said the break was just what she needed following the exhausting storyline.

Will Bethany make it to Nathan's trial on time or will she face a sinister fate?
"Before I went away we were filming the build-up to the trial, where Mel has turned up and she is trying to keep Bethany away from the trial," Lucy noted.
"We had to fight beside a railway line and there are some emotional scenes coming up.
"It is horrible to think that people can go through what Bethany did and then also have to face a trial, and we have shown Bethany's worried about the trial in the build-up."
