Chris Harper: Nathan won't be on Coronation Street for long
Following the release of first-look images, fans of the ITV soap have become convinced that the teen will be left for dead on an abandoned railway, allowing Nathan (played by Chris Harper) to walk free.
However, soap star Chris appeared on This Morning today, confirming that viewers will not see the end of Bethany (Lucy Fallon) this week.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about his character, the soap star noted: "We had to see initially why Bethany was interested in him and the tension and the affection that he poured on her.
"But right from the word go, I wanted people to feel like they couldn't trust him."

Holly went on to ask: "There's no turning around for him, he's not suddenly going to get a job in the Rovers is he? This is it."
Chris then dropped a huge spoiler ahead of tonight's double bill, promising viewers that the trial would go ahead and Nathan would get his comeuppance.
He also hinted that Bethany would survive her attack from Mel (Sonia Ibrahim), explaining: "The whole story has been through Bethany's eyes and will continue long after Nathan has gone.
