Matt Baker, 39, and Charlotte Smith, 52, took Countryfile to Hampstead Heath today for an unusual show as they presented the sheepdog competition from the capital city.
Viewers were appalled by the episode's urban setting, flooding to Twitter to air their views on the controversial decision.
"They're hosting 'One Man and His Dog' in London? Seriously?" one fumed. "Countryfile? COUNTRY… file! This has annoyed me a surprising amount."
"Country raised collie dogs shepherding sheep on dry managed London parkland; doesn't really work does it?" another added, while a third commented: "Loving One Man and His Dog trials… but the title of the programme isn't 'City Park File'. Not happy with the venue."

Many BBC viewers were not impressed with Countryfile being in the city
As Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland went head-to-head in the challenging trials, it wasn't long before it became clear that the Welsh team had the upper hand.
After trampling the competition with a stunning performance in the tricky second round, Wales came out on top with an amazing 197 points.
Major of London Sadiq Khan became the surprise of the night, however, when he turned up to Hampstead Heath to announce the winners.
"Welcome to London," the Mayor greeted the hosts. "We're chuffed to have - for the first time ever - One Man and His Dog here in London."

Countryfile fans were shocked by his appearance, with one tweeting: "And now it's only SADIQ PRESENTING THE WINNER OF ONE MAN AND HIS DOG! *faints with North-West London pride*."
"Sadiq handing out the prize. Love," said another.
Unfortunately, it appeared that not all the viewers were impressed with the choice of special guest, as several took to social media to complain, with one raging: "New low for BBC. Sadiq Khan on #Countryfile."
"Sadiq Khan handing out the trophy for One Man and His Dog? Honestly? What does he know about country life or working dogs?" another asked.
Countryfile continues next Sunday at 6.15pm on BBC One.
