The panel were discussing the festive season after one viewer revealed they had already put up their tree.
Janet was stunned by the decision to start decorating their home for Christmas before going on to make her own confession.
"Last year I did something for the first time," the 70-year-old told the panel, before cheekily adding: "And it wasn't have sex in December."
She went on to add: "I put up a Christmas tree which was made up of 57 pieces. It took two-and-a-half hours and I would quite honestly rather slash my wrists."

The Loose Women brushed over Janet's self-harm comment
While the panel laughed at Janet's tale, viewers at home were outraged by her comment regarding self-harm and demanded that she apologise.
"@The_Real_JSP @ITV @loosewomen #loosewomen Very distasteful comment from Janet about self harm. It's rude, and upsetting," one tweeted.
Another added: "@loosewomen #LooseWomen Janet should apologise for saying something so insensitively! 'I'd rather slash my wrists'. So wrong."
A third continued: "Let's see if there's an apology from Janet for saying what she did about self harm. It's not a joke. @loosewomen #LooseWomen."

It came after the Loose Women panel discussed the first instalment of new ITV rape drama Liar, which follows Laura and Andrew after their date which ends with a rape accusation.
Ruth Langsford admitted that she felt uncomfortable after she watched Laura quizzed about how much alcohol she had drank before and during the date.
