EASTENDERS fans have been tearing their hair out over the possibility of Kush Kazemi’s exit since actor Davood Ghadami joined Strictly Come Dancing.

Davood was among the first stars confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing last month, sparking fears over his role in EastEnders.
As he gears up to take on the BBC competition, Davood, 35, assured exclusively to Express.co.uk that he’ll be sticking with EastEnders, but admitted he’ll be relatively absent from screens.
"No, I won't be taking a break per se, but hopefully it'll be a bit quieter storyline-wise,” he said. “EastEnders stars have been able to juggle both so I’m hoping to follow in their footsteps.
“They’ve all done really though though so they’ve set the bar really high, which can be unnerving for me.”

He added: “They’re all brilliant, they’re all excited and they’ve all got this amazing wealth of knowledge because it’s such big deal. They all had so much fun so hopefully I will as well.”
This week sees Kush collapse after suffering a shock heart attack, leaving his life hanging in the balance.
The news comes after the BBC confirmed Lauren (played by Jacqueline Jossa) and Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) will be leaving EastEnders as part of a huge shake-up.

"We can confirm that Jacqueline and Lorna will be leaving EastEnders,” a spokesperson for the soap said. "They have both been wonderful to work with and we wish them all the best for the future."
According to an insider, the move is part of drastic overhaul by the new boss John Yorke.
The source told The Sun on Sunday: "He has form for creating huge plots, so they're in safe hands over their departure. It will be one of the biggest on-screen moments of the year.”
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One while Strictly Come Dancing returns on September 23.
