BBC weather: Matt Taylor has BAD news as he replaces Carol Kirkwood to present forecast
THE BBC weather report wouldn’t have pleased a lot of viewers today as Matt Taylor had some bad news.

Replacing usual BBC Breakfast presenter Carol Kirkwood, Matt delivered the forecast from Albert Dock in Liverpool.
The meteorologist warned of heavy rain and showers throughout the UK today which would have no doubt disappointed those longing for hot summer days.
The wet weather will be the most extreme in north east Scotland as the rain becomes heavier and more persistent as it pushes north.
Northern England will see plenty of rain whereas southern areas including the Midlands, East Anglia and the south east will see fewer showers.

The south west and Wales will get some blustery winds which will bring in showers.
Through the course of the day, the rain will be the most persistent in north east Scotland and there is a risk of thunder and lightening.
The wind is likely to pick up more through the evening and overnight but temperatures will remain in double figures.
Tomorrow, there will be some heavy showers in western areas although compared to today there will be more dry weather.

Temperatures will reach 21 degrees celsisus and during the night, showers will continue to clear.
On Sunday, the UK will see the aftermath of Hurricane Gert with a chance of a heavy burst of rain from the south west.
