Rob Mallard admits he thought he would be AXED from Corrie
The actor confessed to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that he was certain he would be axed when it was revealed his character pushed Ken (played by Bill Roache) down the stairs.
Daniel Osborne was furious with his father when he learned that his girlfriend Sinead Tinker (played by Katie O'Glynn) had aborted their baby and violently lashed out.
Holly probed: "You must have been a little panicked though? If I've pushed him down the stairs then this is going to be the end of this character, it's not going to end well for him is it?"
"Coronation Street is a very moral show, so any character who does anything immoral, eventually the show will catch up with them and punish them for it," Rob explained.

Rob confessed that he asked the soap's producer if he should send out his CV
"So I thought there's no reason that this character will be immune to it."
The soap star went on to add: "I asked Kate Oates [the producer] does this mean that I need to get my CV refreshed and start handing it out again?
"I was genuinely concerned that that would be it."
While Daniel may be safe for now, there's still plenty of time for the show to "catch up and punish him".
Rob admitted that he was concerned for his character Daniel

When Daniel becomes embroiled in an altercation with a gang of thugs, Chesney walks into the drama and is caught in the crossfire.
Fans of the ITV soap will have to tune in tonight to find out if the Prima Doner worker will survive the attack.
Coronation Street airs tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
