Nina Wadia: I'd be open to returning to EastEnders
Discussing her upcoming film role in Finding Fatima on This Morning, Nina Wadia revealed that bosses approached her about reprising her role as Zainab Masood.
While the actress admitted she was tempted to return to Albert Square, she was actually unable to make a comeback.
When asked by Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes if she would ever go back to the long-running series, she revealed: "They did ask last year but I was doing a pilot in the states."
She is currently waiting to hear if her NBC Universal show Champions has been given the green light but said she wouldn't rule out playing Zainab again.

Nina noted that the Masood family may have Walford but you can "never say never in this business" when it comes to returning to soaps.
Also in the studio today was Lisa Faulkner, who is set to make an explosive entrance to EastEnders later this month and Nina was more than happy to offer some advice.
The 47-year-old advised: "It's great fun. But sleep as much as you can because you can sometimes be working 13-hour days."
Lisa will star on the show as Fi Browning, a "no-nonsense but sophisticated businesswoman" and showrunner Sean O'Connor was over the moon she agreed to join the cast.
