The 39-year-old actor, who took a break from the BBC soap, will be making a comeback soon and when he does it looks like it will be a memorable moment.
Mick will reportedly be having a face-off with newcomer Woody Woodward in one of his first scenes back in Albert Square.
“Mick is left seriously riled when Walford’s new villain Woody rocks up on the square – and even lands a job alongside him in the Vic,” an EastEnders insider said.
The source went on to say: “There’s going to be ongoing beef between the two hard men and eventually it all kicks off.”
They added to The Sun: “Mick and Woody end up having a huge punch-up in the Square – leaving all the residents stunned. It’s a proper bust-up with the boys really going for it and rolling all over the place.”
To make matters even more complicated, Woody is set to have a “secret connection” to Mick’s wife Linda (played by Kellie Bright) which will have more consequences.

According to the source, the huge fight between Woody and Mick has yet to be filmed but will be one of the first times viewers will see the two characters meeting.
This is not the first time Mick has ended up in a tussle with a fellow Walford resident, after a previous spat with Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
Danny’s alter-ego Mick departed from EastEnders back in March after he received bad news about his daughter Nancy (played by Maddy Hill) who is currently travelling with Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel).
Lee Ryan is set to be making his EastEnders debut soon
Mick took a phone call from Tamwar which revealed that Nancy had been hit by a car while they were in Bulgaria.
After hearing the shock news, he rushed into the kitchen and ordered Whitney (Shona McGarty) to book him a flight as soon as possible.
EastEnders continues on BBC One tonight at 7.30pm.
