The mother-of-one is currently struggling to get her life back on track after her devastating loss and the breakdown of her marriage to Toadie (played by Ryan Moloney).
And, in the latest instalment, she locked lips with Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) as they laid in bed together and he tried to help her sleep.
But, while she was more than happy to cosy up to her best friend, it seems she will soon regret sharing a kiss with him.
In upcoming episodes, Sonya (Eve Morey) will find herself struggling to cope and will give into temptation when she spots a bottle of wine.

While she will try to convince herself that it was just a one-off, she soon begins to spiral out of control and becomes reliant on the booze.

Fans of the soap certainly weren't happy with the latest development with many pleading for Sonya to reunite with Toadie.

It comes after it was reported that Toadie's mum Angie (Lesley Baker) would return to Erinsborough when she learns of her son's impending divorce.
Unimpressed with Sonya recent actions, she certainly won't hold back when she comes face-to-face with her daughter-in-law and reminds her that she has also made many mistakes over the years.
