The Voice: Gavin chooses Truly to go through to semi-finals
The 51-year-old Bush frontman chose Truly, 22, after being impressed with her rendition of Ellie Goulding's Lights.
The decision meant that the future of his other two team members, Max Vickers, 24, and Sarah Morgan, 16, on the competition was left to the public vote.
Sarah, a kebab shop worker from Scotland, suffered a minor set back during her performance of Lourde's Royals when she forgot some of the lyrics.
Those watching at home argued that Gavin had made the "wrong choice" and blasted him for his choice of song for Sarah.
