JOE AND JAKE, the duo who represented the United Kingdom in last year's Eurovision Song Contest, have said Brexit will not affect Lucie Jones' chances this year.

Welsh singer Lucie's song Never Give Up on You won last Saturday's Eurovision: You Decide vote and so the star will be performing the number live in Ukraine in May.
There are worries that last year's Brexit vote might have a detrimental effect on the number of points the UK scores from other European Union nations.
However, speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Joe Woolford, 22, and Jake Shakeshaft, 21, said this would be unlikely.
When asked whether they thought the recent political turmoil might have an impact on the UK's chances of winning the competition, Jake replied: "Well it can't change very much!"

It can't change very much!
"For the last three years we haven't had many points any way," Joe agreed.
Jake continued: "To be honest, I don't think it will have much more of an effect because, as Joe just picked up on, we don't do particularly well anyway as a whole. I don't think this will make much of a difference to be completely honest."
The UK's entries have famously struggled to make a mark in the competition since Jade Ewen came fifth in 2009.

But Joe and Jake went into the competition with their eyes open, knowing that, however great their single was, they would be unlikely to win.
"I think our personal opinion is that if you want to win Eurovision, it's simple," Jake explained.
"You just need to write a great song and perform it for another country!"
Eurovision 2017 final will air on May 13 on BBC One.
