Let It Shine: 'Is he having a midlife crisis?' Viewers slam Gary Barlow's introduction
GARY BARLOW kicked off the first episode of Let It Shine with a musical introduction, in which he detailed the show's motive.

The number saw the Take That singer strip off to sing in the shower and go through hair and make-up as he prepared for the series' debut.
Hosts Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc also joined in with the all singing and all dancing opener, with the latter even rapping.
But those tuning into the episode were left baffled by the introduction with many questioning Gary's decision to include it.
Taking to social media, one viewer wrote: "So far #LetItShine is Gary Barlow having a midlife crisis."

While another added: "@BBCLetItShine Oh dear God no @garybarlow What is this awful nonsense?"
"Hmmmmm....what's all this nonsense with Gary Barlow??? That was some opening sequence - very over the top... #LetItShine," a third tweeted.
Someone else commented: "I'm genuinely embarrassed for all involved already and it's only been on for 65 seconds #LetItShine."
Another viewer slammed: "Barlow you are not a musical genius or a national treasure . That intro was utter c*** . Dross . #LetItShine."

A handful of viewers did enjoy the musical start to the talent show
However, not everyone was shocked by the opening with some praising the musician for the original opening.
Two viewers couldn't get enough of the musical number, with one sharing: "@GaryBarlow What a fantastic opening number from you for #Letitshine loving the show x" while the other wrote: "Great opening @GaryBarlow. Bring on #LetItShine."
