The 30-year-old presenter scooped the coveted Glitterball Trophy to win this year's competition with professional partner Joanne Clifton.
And, every year the "Strictly curse" is brought up surrounding couples due to the closeness and intense amount of time they spend together rehearsing.
Appearing on Loose Women beside her husband, Andrea Mclean asked Portia if she was ever worried the competition would split them up.
Ore's gorgeous spouse replied: "It was at the back of my mind because it's something that always crops up every year. But as soon as I met Jo I thought, 'Wow!'

"I'm not just saying that, she was amazing and your partner makes your whole experience and it made it for us."
The two surprisingly became very close and Portia admitted they often went out together for dinner and were texting all the time.
"I was so the third wheel!" joked Ore.
The former newsround presenter even said he himself was the "victim" of the curse.

During their chat on the ITV show, the pair both revealed they never expected Ore to waltz off as the winner of the competition.
Porita added: "Oh gosh we didn't expect it and then his name got announced and you saw me, I stayed seated and everyone had to pick me up. It was unbelievable."
Yesterday it was revealed that Ore will be dancing on the Strictly live tour with Joanne's sister-in-law Karen Clifton instead.
Loose Women will return to screens next year.
