The Apprentice: Did Lord Sugar just reveal that he is moving to Channel 4?
EARLIER this year, the BBC announced that the Great British Bake Off would be moving to be Channel 4 and now it seems Lord Sugar may also be making the move.
Alan Sugar jokes that Channel 4 want him for baking show
Speaking about Alana Spencer’s win on The Apprentice spin-off series You’re Fired, the businessman joked the two would be joining the baking series.
“Now that you’re business partners, are you going to be sticking a pinny on and doing some baking?” asked presenter Rhod Gilbert.
Lord Sugar laughed: “No, no. They’re thinking, well, Channel 4 is thinking of taking me instead of Mary Berry.”
To which the host replied: “Well, you’ve got a good baking name Lord Sugar and you’re ridiculously rich. Perfect.”

Rhod asked if Lord Sugar would be baking with Alana for her business
However, it seems unlikely that Lord Sugar would move broadcasters. When it was revealed that the Bake Off would be moving channel, the 69-year-old took to Twitter to condemn Love Productions for moving to Channel 4.
"There's a fine balance in good business practice. Love productions have made a fatal error taking GBBO away from @BBCOne for a few extra quid," he wrote.
"Love production big mistake putting bake off on CH4. @BBCOne got 15m viewers apart from 1st episode CH4 will settle through the run at 3-4m.”

Alana fought off Courtney Wood to win the £250,00 investment from Lord Sugar
Last night’s final of The Apprentice saw Alana swoop to victory against Courtney Wood as she revealed that she wanted to expand her cupcake business.
She launched her respective business to over 200 industry experts and was ecstatic when Lord Sugar announced he wanted to work with the 24-year-old.
Speaking after her triumph she said the win “hadn’t quite sunk in”, while Courtney added he was “genuinely happy” for her.
The Apprentice is expected to return to BBC One next year.
