EastEnders: Martin struggles to get into the Christmas spirit
Christmas decorations were put up along the street, however many at home were quick to point out their likeness to something far less festive.
The scene kicked off with Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) asking Martin Fowler (James Bye) if he was "buzzing" for their upcoming night out.
However, the stony-faced character replied: "Well I need something to get me in the Christmas spirit.
"These aren't exactly doing it, are they? Scrooge here, ain't helping either," which is when the camera cut to the odd-shaped Christmas lights.

"Is he moaning about them decorations again? Every time you mention them tonight I'm going to make you do a shot," he told Martin.
Standing next to his miserable cousin Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), he added: "I'm not the only one who thinks they're a joke."
