The Walking Dead: ‘I think Carl is the future,’ says actor Tom Payne
THE WALKING DEAD star Tom Payne has admitted that he doesn't expect Carl to leave the show anytime soon.

Actor Tom, who plays Paul “Jesus” Rovia admitted that Chandler Riggs won’t be leaving the hit series.
"I think Carl is the future of the show - I mean, is the future of the comic books, I think," Tom told The Huffington Post.
"At the end of the day, I think Carl is the guy at the end on the last page. And I don't know if they'll go that way on the TV show, but I think it would be a logical place for them to go. Who knows?"
The speculation of a departure was fuelled when Chandler's father posted a cryptic message on Facebook.

"7 year contract completed! Grateful to AMC, Cast & Crew, TWD fan base and especially Chandler for always being 100 per cent dedicated,” he posted.
One fan posted on Chandler’s mother’s Instagram theorising that AMC could cast a replacement for Carl if there's a sizeable time jump.
Hitting back at all the speculation, she replied: “Don't over-analyse. His seven-year contract is up. That's all he was saying, nothing else.

"Pretty big accomplishment for a child actor (and for the parent who had to quit his job for this child to be able to follow his dream)."
With the seventh series well underway, viewers have now been introduced to new locations in the FOX series as well as being kept up to date with the Alexandrians following the death of Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee.
