Doctor Who series 10: Ralf Little teases role and says Pearl Mackie will be a ‘big hit’
THE ROYLE FAMILY actor Ralf Little has said Doctor Who companion Pearl Mackie will be a ‘big hit’ with fans when she makes her debut on the show at Christmas.

Little recently confirmed he would be appearing in episode two of the sci-fi series when it makes its return next year.
In an interview with Digital Spy, he said: ”I’m not even allowed to say that I'm in it! There you go – that's what I can tell you…"
The end of the last series saw the Doctor's companion Clara Oswald, played by actress Jenna Coleman, depart the show.
It was recently announced that Pearl Mackie, who is known for starring in the critically acclaimed West End production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, would be replacing Coleman.

Little, 36, was full of praise for his Doctor Who co-star, arguing that fans would love her.
He said: ”She's a lovely girl and a great actress - really fantastic on screen. I think she's going to be a big hit!"
Little also spoke highly of Peter Capaldi, who has played the Doctor since 2013.

Eager not to give too much away about the series, he said: ”The entire experience was very cool – and Peter Capaldi is a great man.
"I'd met him before on various bits and pieces, but he's incredibly warm and welcoming. I've probably already said too much!"
Doctor Who will be briefly returning on Christmas Day for a festive special.
Doctor Who series 10 will air in 2017 on BBC One.
