Coronation Street: Anna BURNED ALIVE in freak accident caused by David Platt
ANNA WINDASS was set alight by a flaming petrol canister on tonight’s Coronation Street thanks to a car accident caused by a frantic David Platt.
Corrie's Anna BURNED by fire explosion
Anna was set alight on Coronation Street tonight
David (Jack P Shepherd) took to the cobbles in a petrol-soaked car in order to reach the trial of Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) charged with killing David’s wife Kylie in July.
But when the vehicle lost control and hurtled towards David’s daughter Lily (Brooke Malonie) and Anna’s son Gary (Mikey North), things didn’t look good for those involved.
After a tense few minutes, the residents of Coronation Street pooled together to get David from the driver’s seat and to lift the car from a trapped Gary and Lily, while the petrol dripped onto the cobbles at a dangerous rate.

The group of neighbours managed to release the pair from underneath the vehicle and all seemed to be well - with a desperately happy Anna (Debbie Rush) thankful for her son’s safety.
Put as things looked to be okay, a spark alighted the masses of petrol trickling down the street, sending everyone diving for cover.
Even at this point, things seemed to be fine; but a second explosion sent a flaming can of petrol towards Anna, setting her alight from the feet upwards.
