Coronation Street spoiler: David Platt escapes cellar to exact revenge on Clayton
HELL-BENT on avenging the death of wife Kylie, Coronation Street's David Platt was locked in the Bistro cellar by his family to stop him taking drastic measures this week – but tonight, he gets free.

Deranged and vengeful, the character will finally get loose to try to carry out his murderous revenge on his wife's murderer Clayton Hibbs.
The distraught young man was locked up by his mother Gail and siblings Nick and Sarah as they tried to stop him from exacting his plan.
David’s intention was to kill himself after murdering Clayton, the man responsible for Kylie’s shock stabbing, by driving a car full of petrol into the prison van transporting Clayton to court.
But, in the upcoming instalment, David manages to break free and, driven by his thirst for revenge, get into the death trap car that he has already filled with petrol containers.

Deranged and vengeful, the character will finally get loose
Gail and Nick will realise what’s happened and run desperately to his aid, to try to stop David driving off in the car.
However, he whips out a lighter and threatens to blow them all up unless they move out of his way.
It is yet to be revealed if the Platts will let him drive off, and whether or not he will still attempt to execute his plan to kill Clayton. Will David simply give up and take his own life, unable to live any longer without Kylie?
Coronation Street airs tonight on ITV at 7:30pm and then again at 8:30pm.
