Viewers mock Trinny Woodall as she combines tights with sandals on This Morning
FASHION expert Trinny Woodall caused quite a stir on This Morning today when she committed the ultimate sartorial faux pas, combining socks with sandals.
Did Trinny Woodall just commit the ultimate fashion crime?
Trinny was presenting a segment advising women what to wear on their feet this winter, when she suggested ladies wear tights with high-heeled sandalled shoes.
The 52-year-old led out a model wearing the tights and sandals combo, which she said would allow women to carry on wearing open-toed shoes despite plummeting temperatures.
She struggled to win over presenter Phillip Schofield who said the combination made the model look like a "BBC sound man."

You'd get mud in your fur
However, fellow presenter Holly liked the style, saying it reminded her of something her friend Fearne Cotton would wear.
One viewer wrote: "The shoes and tights together were flippin' awful. In fact I'd avoid everything Trinny picked out there! #ThisMorning"
Another exclaimed: "Tights and sandles?! TRINNY OMG IS THIS FINALLY OKAY #thismorning"
Phillip was further concerned by the shoes themselves, which featured a furry heel.
Phillip Schofield was left unconvinced

A viewer agreed, sarcastically tweeting: "Furry heels for winter mmmm very useful #ThisMorning"
However, Trinny had a solution for the problem suggesting: "You could get a man to put down his coat for you."
This Morning continues weekdays at 10.30 am on ITV.
