The X Factor 2016: Four of Diamonds CONFIRMED to replace Brooks Way
GIRLBAND Four Of Diamonds have returned to The X Factor to replace Brooks Way, who have stepped down by "mutual consent".
There was fan outrage when Four Of Diamonds were snubbed at Judges' Houses
The four-piece were controversially axed at Judges' Houses when judge Louis Walsh opted to send only male acts through to the live shows.
Now, the Irish mogul says in a statement: "I was really impressed with the girls at Judges’ Houses but only had three spots to fill for the Live Shows.
"At the time a lot of viewers were disappointed that I didn’t put the girls through, now that a place has opened up in my category, I’ve listened to the fans and am delighted to be bringing the girls back."
He added: "They're a great girl group and I'm hoping will take me all the way to the final."
Brooks Way departed amid a storm of allegations
The band themselves added: "We are so excited to be back on The X Factor.
"We’re really looking forward to performing live, working hard and showing everyone what we’re made of."
They are Caroline, 19, from London; Lauren, 21, from Surrey; Yasmin, 17, from Manchester and Sophia, 19, from Birmingham.
No group has won The X Factor since Little Mix in 2011, and now Four Of Diamonds join 5 After Midnight following the elimination of Bratavio last night.

The ladies themselves were heartbroken at the time
Louis said he was thrilled to have them back
Josh Brooks had said in a statement after the duo's exit: "Due to events in my personal life I've decided that it's best not to be on the show at this time.
"While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved."
The X Factor continues on Saturday night at 8:00pm on ITV.
