Top Gear finale: Rory Reid slams Chris Evans and Sabine calls Matt LeBlanc ‘fat American’
TOP GEAR ended its first revamped series on a high tonight as its six presenters engaged in some light-hearted playfighting.
Final Top Gear Episode Sabine teases Matt
The team, led by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, took it in turns to try to score the biggest jump in a rallycross car.
The segment brought out some sharp one-liners from the sextet as they each had their go, with Chris Harris ultimately coming out on top with an impressive 14 metre jump.
Rory Reid had started with a 2.8 metre effort, which Sabine Schmitz failed to beat with her own paltry 1.6 metre attempt.
Chris went next and logged 8.9 metres, leading to Rory calling him “a dirty great big cheat.”

Eddie Jordan just missed out on winning
Not bad for a fat American
Matt went next and came within a hairline of beating his colleague with an 8.2 metre jump, after which Sabine quipped: “Not bad for a fat American.”
However it was Chris Harris who easily stole the show, with Eddie Jordan coming a close second with a 9.9 metre jump.
The six-part series has struggled to find its footing in the ratings, with numbers consistently dwindling each week.
Although the first episode pulled in a disappointing overnight figure of just under 5 million, however, it did significantly bolster its reach once catch-up numbers were factored in.

Still, it remains to be seen how much - if any - of the line-up are kept on for next year, as fans of predecessors Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May continue to complain on social media.
Incidentally Jeremy, who will front The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime later this year, was not tuned in tonight - making it known on Twitter that he was instead watching France take on Iceland in the Euro 2016 tournament.
