'It seems a little extreme' Sienna Miller blasts public backlash over her missing poppy
WHEN Sienna Miller appeared on The Graham Norton Show to promote her new film Burnt, the last thing viewers were talking about was her movie.
Sienna Miller blasts public backlash over her missing poppy
The actress faced an enormous public backlash after an eagle-eyed audience noticed the British born starlet wasn't wearing a poppy in the build up to Remembrance Day.
Ironically, the Poppy has kicked off a feud between those who choose not to pay tribute to war veteran's of the First World War and those who have claimed it's "disrespectful" to think otherwise.
Sienna's actually in neither camp and has now revealed why her dress was noticeably poppy-free.
Appearing on today's Good Morning Britain with a poppy booming on her black dress, the mother-of-one called the whole ordeal "unfortunate".

Sienna defended herself to Charlotte Hawkins
"I had a poppy on funnily enough and I was wearing a dress that was like crepe paper basically and as I was going on I looked down - it was tearing at the dress and they’d said my name and so I whipped it off," she explained.
On the extraordinary response, she said: “It’s unfortunate it’s been made such a huge kind of … it’s really snowballed apparently and of course I don’t think there is anyone in this country that isn’t grateful and respectful and never would want to cause offence and wear a poppy all the time, but people kind of focus on things enough to pick at the negative. It seems a little extreme."
Viewers blasted the actress over her appearance on Graham Norton
What's worse, the blonde beauty may be faced with another angry flood of critics over another appearance expected to air in the coming days.
She continued: “Also, there’s another show I’m worried about coming out because we pre-recorded it, where we are probably not wearing poppies but some of these things are filmed weeks before they air. But you can’t please everyone and I meant no disrespect. Of course I didn’t."
Twitter was awash with viewers condemning the actress for not wearing her poppy. One viewer wrote: "@TheGNShow good to see Bradley wearing a poppy. Sienna Miller obviously not interested."

Another added: "Catching up with last night's @grahnort @TheGNShow which was gr8t. Shame the actress #SiennaMiller couldn't be a role model and wear a poppy."(sic)
