Strictly Come Dancing 2015: Katie Derham waltzes her way to the TOP of the leader board
LAST Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing was all about Jay McGuiness, but the top half of the leader board was a much more crowded affair tonight.
Katie Derham has tonight topped the Strictly Come Dancing leader board
However, last but not least to take to the floor was Katie Derham who managed to score a staggering 33 points with her Viennese Waltz to Elvis Presley's If I Can Dream.
The broadcaster, alongside her smiley partner Anton du Beke, put on a beautiful display and had judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli gushing over the complicated routine.
Up until the 45-year-old's performance, it looked as though Peter Andre, Helen George, Jamelia and Kellie Bright would all be sharing the top spot with 32 points a piece.
"I didn't think you could pull that off because there was so much going on. You kept it light and fluffy, and you had a wonderful neck. So much better than last week, I salute you both," Len, 71, told the jubilant pair.
The journalist wowed with her Viennese Waltz
The pair were left in shock at finding themselves with the most points
"This lady is definitely made for turning - like a Catherine wheel on fire. You are just made for ballroom," Bruno, 59, informed the brunette beauty.
Even hard-to-please Craig, 50, kept the compliments coming: "A couple of skippy moments, but absolutely incredible. I don't know how you learnt that in a week, I really do not know."
Pop star Peter, 42, found himself back on form thanks to an impressive Tango, while Jamelia - who has previously found herself in the dance-off - was told the Charleston was "her dancee".
The judges were left shocked by the difficult routine
A staggering four couples shared second place

Despite having scored the first ten of the series last week, things "fell to pieces" for poor old Jay.
The boy band star found himself just five places from the bottom of the table, after making a number of mistakes in his Quickstep to The Who's My Generation.
The 25-year-old looked visibly upset and disappointed at his performance, which scored him a measly 25 points.
Strictly Come Dancing continues with the results show tomorrow at 7.15pm on BBC One.
