'She can knock it back' Sue Perkins claims Mary Berry drinks like a '19th century pirate'
SUE PERKINS has given an insight into what her Great British Bake Off co-star Mary Berry is really like when the cameras stop rolling, and its all twerking and drinking...apparently.
The presenter said the "marvellous" 80-year-old could drink everyone under the table, before opening up about heartthrob baker Tamal Ray.
Speaking on tonight's Alan Carr Chatty Man Stand Up To Cancer special, the 46-year-old dished the dirt on what happened at the launch of her autobiography, Spectacles, this week.
When asked about baking legend Mary, Sue revealed: "I had my book launch yesterday and Mary was drinking like a 19th century pirate with full winking; hollow legs until the end.
"She is magnificent. She can knock it back. The rest of us fell by the wayside and she was still dry-eyed, bushy tailed."
Mary Berry can twerk until the cows come home!
On Mary being sexier than Jennifer Lopez, Sue continued: "Course she is. Listen, you don’t get to see Mary’s booty because we film from the waist up but she rocks it. She can twerk until the cows come home."
Following Nadiya Jamir Hussain's triumph on Wednesday night in the GBBO finale, the host described her win as "very well deserved".
She said: "She made a beautiful peacock. She made fizzing cans of pop. She had no confidence and she slowly bloomed and she delivered and she is a beautiful, beautiful woman and made some great bakes."
It was Tamal however that Alan was keen to discuss. Sue told the star: "He is absolutely gorgeous, as is Ian. We were really lucky with all the contestants. He will not be single for long that boy.

"He works as an anaesthetist, and then came at night and baked, and at the weekends gave his time, and all of them deserve so much respect."
On the attention the contestants get in the press, Sue added: "When people come for them and attack them I hate it. Who deserves being battered for trying to make a perfect scone?"
Sue appeared on the programme alongside Jonathan Ross, Jamie Laing, First Dates' Fred Sirieix and This Is England 90's Thomas Turgoose, who returned to honour his bet to get Alan tattooed on his bottom if £5,000 was raised for SU2C.
Alan Carr Chatty Man airs tonight at 10pm on Channel 4.
