Emmerdale: Fans worry for Aaron Livesy as Robert Sugden's life hangs in the balance
THERE were some tense scenes on Emmerdale tonight as viewers got a double does of the Yorkshire Dales-set soap.
Robert's life hangs in the balance on Emmerdale
Not only were there fears for Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) after a motorbike collision with Andy Sugden (Kevin Fletcher) left him plummeting into a water-filled quarry but there was nearly a custody battle between Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) over baby Johnny.
But the plot line keeping viewers gripped was the shooting of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). The Sugden family went to the hospital in tonight's episode with hopes of him waking up after doctors tried to bring him out of his coma but it was all to no avail.

There will be a special rewind episode where viewers will learn who killed Robert Sugden
Fingers were being pointed in all directions over who did the deadly deed, the Sugdens suspected vengeful wife Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and her father Lawrence White (John Bowe).
Aaron Livesey (Danny Miller) was also under suspicion as he sat glumly in the Woolpack unable to confess his love for Robert.
The episode ended with Andy Sugden (Kevin Fletcher) whispering threats at the comatose Robert.

Viewers tuning in to watch the episodes expressed media their concern on social media for Aaron as they tried to guess who was the one that pulled the trigger.
One viewer posted called Monika wrote: "Aaron worried, because Robert can't wake up again #robron #emmerdale."
While Brittany Nichol said: "Aww Aaron literally just staring in the background lmao he obviously needs Robert. #Robron."
A Twitter user call Beckyy was hoping that it wasn't Aaron rather than Andy at Robert's bedside: "Really wanted that to be Aaron, saying please babe wake up! #emmerdale #Robron #WhoShotRobert."
Even an parody Twitter account called Adam Barton was getting in the conversation: "Who do you think you are Chrissie point your finger @AaronLivesy7 and I will break it #Emmerdale its a set up he didn't do it #whoshotrobert."
Robert's shooter is set to revealed later this year
Tena summed up how many viewers were feeling when she posted: "I can't wait to we find out who really #WhoShotRobert #Emmerdale."
The mystery of who shot Robert rolls on and is unlikely to be resolved until Christmas. He is one of the most despised characters on the soap and pretty much all of the characters would have had a reason to want him dead.
