'Must-watch' Netflix thriller with perfect Rotten Tomatoes score hailed 'one of the best'
A South Korean thriller has been receiving rave reviews from Netflix viewers, who have been left 'hooked from the beginning' of the 10-episode limited series

Netflix has been delivering some top-notch thrillers in 2025, with a South Korean crime series that's been somewhat of a sleeper hit. Set in an alternate South Korea where firearms are outlawed, the show delves into the surge of illicit gun trade and associated violence.
The plot weaves together the lives of two men - one a principled cop, the other a shrewd gunrunner - thrown together by extraordinary events. Despite being relatively new, the series has already clinched a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and has been met with enthusiastic praise from viewers.
The official blurb states: "As illegal firearms flood into a gun-free South Korea, a resolute cop and a mysterious partner join forces to stop the chaos from sweeping the nation."

Titled Trigger, this ten-part gem debuted in July 2025. The gripping drama features Kim Nam-gil as Lee Do, an ex-military sniper turned detective on the trail of the gun smuggling underworld.
Opposite him is Kim Young-kwang as Moon Baek, an enigmatic arms trader with a complex personality and a master plan. Audiences have taken to Google Reviews to express their approval, with Aboli Jagtap commenting: "This series is so good, it's fresh, intense, and absolutely worth watching."
"I was honestly sceptical at first, because lately, a lot of K-dramas kind of feel the same. But this one had me hooked from the very beginning."
Hla Hla Win enthused: "If you are craving the great drama that hooks you till the end continuously, watch this drama.

"I didn't expect this to hook me from the very first episode, but it truly blew me away! The story is intense, emotional, and full of suspense that kept me glued to the screen until the very end."
