My Mum, Your Dad: Angharad discusses her mum's kiss

During Wednesday's episode of Lorraine, the ITV presenter sat down heart-to-heart with My Mum, Your Dad stars Vicky and her daughter Angharad who spoke about one rule she broke.

The second season of the hit dating show has seen fans cheering for single parents Vicky and David, whose budding romance has only grown stronger with each episode.

In a recent turn of events that had viewers buzzing with excitement, the couple finally shared a kiss, despite Angharad disclosing that her mother went against their agreement by doing so.

Lorraine delved into the complexities of forming relationships on the show, noting the tricky act of balancing one's approach to romance.

Vicky concurred, pointing out the fine line between being put off by someone who comes on too strong too soon and desiring a more assertive pursuit when there's genuine interest, reports the Mirror.

When Lorraine broached the subject of Vicky's on-screen kiss with David, Angharad couldn't hide her discomfort, prompting Lorraine to empathise: "I know, I feel your pain! I'd be exactly the same I'd be like, 'Oh no!', in a way it was lovely, really lovely actually and very genuine."

She replied: "Yeah it was, it was nice for them both to know they were on the same page."

Angharad then turned to her mum, exposing their pre-show agreement which Vicky had sidestepped, saying: "We had one rule, didn't we? It was meant to be no kissing but things happen!"

Lorraine chimed in, understanding how easy it is to let rules slide in the throes of passion.

The conversation later shifted as Lorraine sought to uncover what drew Vicky towards David.

She responded: "I think David is more reserved and he's quieter. I think that's good for me."

Vicky was thrilled with her stint on the show, saying it surpassed her expectations.

When asked about her own experience, Angharad said: "It's been great! You see a different side to your parents. You don't normally see your parents dating life and see them with their friends."

"It was really nice to see the different side of mum, not just being a mum."

Beyond romance, Lorraine pointed out the friendships formed on the show, which both agreed was a significant aspect of their shared experience.

My Mum, Your Dad is available to watch on ITVX.

Lorraine continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
