Ant and Dec took home a National Television Award for Best Presenter but fans weren't happy.
NTAs 2024: Ant and Dec win TV Presenter award
The National Television Awards returned to screens with some of TV’s biggest names at London’s O2 for the annual celebration.
During the event, Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper took to the stage to announce the Best Presenter nomination.
The award went to iconic TV duo Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly who won for the 23rd year running.
While many were pleased to keep the record going, other viewers took to social media with fury including @ondolady who posted: “Ant n Dec win for the 50 millionth time. This is so blatantly a fix!”
@dan_scott412 added: “There’s so many more presenters than deserve this award!”
@hausofvee fumed: “Never understood why Ant and Dec are so popular and constantly win this award.”
A third viewer @hulme_steph stated: “Stop voting for these two. Please! They are so boring as presenters. Give someone else the award for once! It is just predictable that they are winning every year.”
Despite the backlash, others defended the win including @SkyBlue_Am who shared: “Year after year but well deserved #NTAs.
@AGShizzle echoed: “Ant and Dec are just that good! Period! It's a joy to see #NTAs.”

The duo first won the award in 2001 but teased their retirement from the award show during their speech.
Collecting the award, Dec said: “Thank you – it’s really hard to put into words just how this feels and what it means to us that you take the time to vote for us.”
Ant described the nod as a “joy” and joked that one day they will not collect it, but tonight was not the night.
He continued: “What can we say? Thank you so much. It's really, really hard to put into words just how this feels year after year and how much it means to us that you take the time to vote for us and make us your winners.”
Ant added: "Honestly, it's a joy, we know we're not gonna win it one year but it's not tonight, thank God. But thank you to everybody who works with us on our shows, we love you, we wouldn't be here without you guys.”
