The Mallorca Files is back with a new season and Chief Inés Villegas is among those familiar faces back. Palma police chief Inés Villegas is the glamorous but no-nonsense chief of police in Palma.

She is portrayed by Spanish actress Maria Fernández-Ache who appeared on both Spanish and English television including BBC series Holby City, the film Lost in Karastan and Viento Sur. Her husband Will Keen is also a known face on British TV thanks to roles in The Crown and Wolf Hall.

They have one daughter together who is now becoming a rising star in TV and film. Here is everything you need to know about their daughter.

Who is María Fernández Ache’s famous daughter?

Dafne Keen was born in Madrid with her parents both in the TV and film industry. Dafne began acting when she just nine years old when she made her debut in the Spanish TV show The Refugees (Refugiados).

The actress' breakthrough into mainstream Hollywood came at the age of 15 with her role as Laura, also known as X-23, in Marvel Comics' Logan. Laura was a clone created from Logan’s DNA and had two sharp claws in her hands.

The film, which opened to critical and financial success, and is considered to be one of the best superhero movies of all time, earned Dafne several awards and nominations for her performance, which include winning an Empire Award for Best Newcomer.

In a surprise move, Keen reprised her role as Laura in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.

In 2019, the actress was cast in the lead role of Lyra Belacqua in the BBC/HBO television adaptation of the His Dark Materials trilogy, where she co-stars along with actress, Ruth Wilson. Dafne's dad is also a cast member of the series, playing Lyra's nemesis, Father MacPhail.

The series won Dafne more praise and a nomination for BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress in 2020. The same year, the actress starred alongside Andy García in the comedy-drama film Ana.

The film was originally announced in 2017, but was delayed until 2020. Dafne played a key role in the Star Wars series The Acolyte as young Padawan Jecki Lon. The actress is a rising star and is expected to feature in more bigger productions in the future.
