Coronation Street Kit star ‘reveals’ new romance on cobbles - but she’s in a relationship

Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts has hinted at a potential new love interest on the street for his character Kit Green causing trouble for one Weatherfield couple.

Since his arrival in Weatherfield as Bernie Winter's (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son, Kit has stirred things up among the residents. He's been getting acquainted with his siblings, twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), and recently moved into Rovers Return, taking over Glenda Shuttleworth's (Jodie Prenger) former room.

Kit initially showed a romantic interest in barmaid Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), but upon discovering her relationship with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), he seemed to step back. Despite this, Kit and Ryan have struck up a friendship, sharing interests in music and fitness, even choosing to spend time together over Daisy on their day off.

Kit's integration into the community and his enigmatic aura have left fans speculating about his 'true' intentions and possible connections to other soap villains.

Actor Jacob Roberts has now teased that Kit "could have eyes" for a certain lady on the cobbles, spelling potential heartache for Ryan Connor.

In a conversation with Liverpool Echo and other media outlets, Jacob was probed about Kit's feelings towards Daisy and whether he would be bothered by her current romance with Ryan, reports the Liverpool Echo.

"No, he wouldn't care that she's with someone," Jacob asserted. He then noted: "If think if he's got his eye on someone, he's going to try his best to make it happen. He obviously fancies Daisy, and I think he will try his best to see what he can do."

Jacob went on to reveal Kit doesn't consider Daisy untouchable, even in light of his recent camaraderie with her boyfriend Ryan. Clarifying the stance, Jacob said: "You've got to justify your reasons."

The actor detailed how Kit judges people's characters, mentioning, "I think he takes people off the first interaction. Me and Ryan had a scene and he was aggressive with Kit straight away, and I think he remembers those sorts of things."
