Loose Women's Linda Robson opens up on 'health scare' as she admits her kids are 'worried'

On Tuesday's instalment of Loose Women, panellist Linda Robson detailed having to get scans on her pancreas

Linda Robson says she's never had a summer romance

TV favourite Linda Robson has heart-wrenchingly confessed she might need to have her pancreas removed amid a serious health scare.

The Loose Women favourite divulged details of her troubles while talking to colleagues Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter during Tuesday's show.

The candid discussion unfolded as they touched upon the impact sickness can have on families, which came on the heels of Kate Middleton's moving announcement of concluding her cancer treatment.

Mother to Louis and Roberta with ex Mark Dunford, as well as elder daughter Lauren from an earlier relationship, Linda commented: "I have had a bit of health scare quite a few years ago I had gall stones and they damaged my pancreas and they've been keeping an eye on me for a while now."

The actress best known for Birds of a Feather confided that she had gone through recent scans and is anxiously awaiting her latest results.

Expressing concern, she added: "I had a cyst on my pancreas and it went from one to two centimetres so the kids have been really worried about me."

Linda explained she's waiting to see whether or not the cyst had grown in size, reports the Mirror.

A visibly shocked Ruth asked: "This is happening right now to you?"

Linda confirmed that this was a current situation as she shared more information to her colleagues.

She added: "If it is [bigger] then they'll have to remove my pancreas which means I'd then be a diabetic.

"But fingers crossed that won't happen and the cysts won't have grown. I feel quite positive about it but the kids are obviously worried about it."

Curious, Ruth asked how they're dealing with this as a family and asked if they're speaking with one another.

She replied: "I make jokes about it all the time because I try to diffuse them worrying about me. When I did go to the hospital they came with me and taped everything the doctors said because I would have forgotten everything that they said."

In a poignant confession earlier this year, Linda unveiled the struggles during her fight with OCD, alcoholism and depression as she confessed her children were her carers when she was mentally ill.

She said: "There was a point when I got so low I couldn't be left alone.

"I wasn't allowed to see my grandchildren until I was better. It was four years ago now and they still say, 'Mum I'm so glad you are better, we never thought we'd get you back.'"

Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm.
