The 1% Club: Contestants win money at end of show

ITV bosses have shared what is in store for the future of The 1% Club. The much loved Saturday night show, hosted by Lee Mack, has quickly become a fan favourite of a weekend.

Each week viewers at home tune in to play along with the logic based questions, which sees 100 contestants battle it out to take home a share of £100,000. However, it's not as easy as it may sound as winning the top prize of £100k involves tackling a question that only 1% of the country would get right.

The show has been airing repeats in recent weeks, with the latest episode airing this evening (July 20). It leaves fans wondering what is in store for the show, and asking if there will be a new series to look forward to or worrying that it may have been shelved.

Fortunately, the show’s official X (Twitter) account recently revealed the future of The 1% Club - and it was excellent news.

One fan asked: “Do we have a new series coming our way for next year?” The show's social media account replied positively, saying: “Hopefully more new episodes later in the year and LOTS of new episodes next year.”

During the early series' of The 1% Club, fans bombarded the ITV show with complaints pointing out that the questions and answers were "way too small" for viewers to see at home.

Complaining on social media, one person said at the time: “How on earth are we meant to play along at home if we can’t read the questions?"

While a second asked: "Why they can’t make the questions bigger so it’s easier to read? Only 1 per cent of people can see some of those questions."

Another said: "They say the graphics are bigger than the previous series but I still have to lean forward and squint and I'm wearing my glasses! #The1PercentClub."

However, it seems that show bosses were listening as they made ammendments - and it didn't go unnoticed by fans.

Talking about Saturday’s episode (July 20), a viewer pointed out: “This is the series where the questions were really small on the screen and none of us could read them. Thank you for listening to all of our tweets asking for that to be improved.”
