‘Inappropriate’ and ‘hilarious’ murder mystery with all-star cast now streaming on Netflix
The stars of a riveting murder mystery, including Hollywood A-lister Nicole Kidman, have teased what to expect from the new Netflix series.

The Perfect Couple stars have promised “inappropriate” shenanigans and a dark, comedic streak from the new murder mystery drama, now streaming on Netflix.
Based on the 2018 novel by Elin Hilderbrand, the drama kicks off when Amelia Sacks (played by Eve Hewson) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families in Nantucket, led by bestselling author Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman).
However, the celebrations soon take a dark turn when a body washes up on the beach the morning of the wedding.
As police begin to investigate, dark secrets about Greer, her husband Tag (Liev Schreiber) and the rest of the family start to come to light.
Netflix’s unmissable new crime drama dropped today (September 5) and was recently teased by Nicole and her co-stars at a preview in London.
“This is an amazing ensemble,” she said. “When you talk about acting together ‒ we all worked together to create this...
“It’s underrated, I stepped in to be part of an ensemble. And I’m so grateful for everyone who was there working.”
Nicole is best known for leading massive hit films such as The Others and Moulin Rouge but has more recently stepped into the world of prestige TV.
Some of her most successful dramas have included Big Little Lies for HBO and Nine Perfect Strangers for Hulu.
Director Susanne Bier is at the helm of Nicole’s latest venture into small-screen crime, and she promised a chilling murder investigation with plenty of comedic flourishes to keep fans entertained.
“I got really, really seduced by the possibility of doing something funny and light but still with a dark undercurrent,” she said.
While writer Jenna Lamia added: “I started writing this five years ago ..but it wasn’t until two years ago that I was lucky enough for Susanne to come on board and she elevates everything she does.
“She walks this incredibly precarious line of the tone which was a lot to ask… but none of that really matters unless you have a cast who can pull it off and this cast is incredible.
“You know them as these amazing dramatic actors but I think what you’ll see is each and every one of them has incredible comedic timing… so it's really a group effort.”
Nicole’s co-star Liev also spilled his thoughts on the show’s uniquely twisted tone: “There is a really healthy dose of perversity...
“Some of the most inappropriate and wonderful choices that I’ve ever seen a director make.”
