ITV presenter Katie Piper has been forced to pull out of her weekend show at the last minute.

The TV host is the main presenter of her self-titled Katie Piper's Breakfast Show, but she's asked her fellow ITV star Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins to step in.

She took to Instagram to update her followers and explain her absence as she wrote: "Sadly I'm not going to be on my breakfast show this weekend as I've had to have an unexpected medical procedure.

"All is well and I hope after some rest I'll be back in the hot seat next weekend."

She then wrote in the caption: "I'll be back soon, thank you Charlotte Hawkins or stepping in last minute."

Her other fans also rushed in to send her love and told her to rest up and take care of herself.

The Loose Women star is hoping she'll have a speedy recovery and be back on air as normal by next week.
