This Morning panel discuss disappearance of Michael Mosley

The hosts of This Morning are deeply concerned for the well-being of regular guest Dr Michael Mosley, who has mysteriously vanished. The health and wellness TV personality has been unaccounted for since Wednesday (5 June), after he was last seen with friends on the Greek island of Symi. Efforts to locate him have been ongoing, and his disappearance was a topic of discussion on today's show (7 June).

Alison Hammond expressed her distress over the situation, describing it as "so upsetting". Vanessa Feltz echoed these sentiments, saying: "It is so upsetting, I mean we've all interviewed him so many times, met him so many times, I would say he is the embodiment of vitality.

"He is an irrepressible energy and enthusiasm [...] He's the most wonderful, wonderful person, he walks into the studio and the whole place lit up every single time. I couldn't love the guy more, or admire him. Tremendous, tremendous energy. I'm just praying that somehow they find him and somehow he's okay."

Dermot O'Leary described the situation as "baffling", providing further details about Mosley's disappearance. Turning to LBC's Nick Ferrari, he labelled the situation as "very worrying", as the radio host offered additional information.

He said: "[...] So, sniffer dogs should be arriving there in about another hour, hour and a half. I can see you're showing drone footage - they've already used a helicopter, they've already used a drone.

This is what the reporter was telling my show earlier - unfortunately, it's a very mountainous area which could mean that if he has fallen, tripped, whatever, there's a lot to be found.

"They're setting a lot of store on the fact that they are getting specially trained sniffer dogs over there before lunchtime."

Nick added that they are "very confident" and stated that police are expected to present the dogs with personal items from Michael to aid in their search for the missing TV doctor.

Dr Mosley's worried fans have taken to Twitter to express their concerns, with one writing: "I'm so sad to hear this news. I'm a big Dr Mosley fan. I hope he's found safe."

Another confessed: "I'm weirdly feeling a lot more worried about Michael Mosley than I would've expected to be. Hope to god he's alright."

Further fans echoed these sentiments, stating they "hope he is okay" and admitting that overwhelming waves of "sadness take over every time they think of him" when thinking of him.

Amidst rising confusion surrounding Dr Mosley's mysterious disappearance, recent updates from local law enforcement highlight that there is "just no trace" of him. Local residents have reportedly dismissed the site of his last known location as "nothing dangerous."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
