Britain's Got Talent champion Sydnie Christmas has shared a heartfelt message after her triumphant win at the weekend's final.

The gifted vocalist, 28, clinched the title on Sunday, June 2, in an exhilarating final broadcast on ITV. She vied for the top spot against magician Jack Rhodes, who finished second, and mother-daughter dance pair Abigail and Afronita, who came third.

Not only did she secure the bragging rights of victory, but she also bagged the hefty cash prize of £250k, as well as the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance for the Royal family. Following her win, Sydnie took to social media to express her gratitude to her loyal fans.

On her Instagram Stories, Sydnie expressed: "Thank you everyone who voted for me. I don't know... My life! The Christmas clan are celebrating in the Wetherspoons."

She then panned the camera around to show her family raising their glasses in celebration, reports the Mirror.

The singer, who received the golden buzzer for her rendition of Tomorrow from the musical Annie, also posted a picture of herself with the BGT judges and hosts Ant and Dec. Beaming with joy, she wrapped her arms around Amanda Holden and Declan Donnelly.

"Cheers to the best day of my life. Thanks to you lot. I owe it all to yous," she said.

Not all viewers were pleased with Syndie's victory, as many took to social media to express their belief that her win was 'fixed'. "Fixed as f*** that she's had a singing career before", one furious fan voiced on X, previously known as Twitter.

Another echoed their sentiments by stating: "They're not even trying to hide the fact that this show is rigged."

A third disgruntled viewer chimed in: "OMG it's been soooo obvious since day one that Simon was obsessed with that Sydnie girl. she's good but yawn at another singer winning (im guessing), justice for the border collies."

Meanwhile, another fan speculated: "So an already established singer just won BGT 2024, what a fix. Jack was robbed but they knew what they were doing when choosing the running order, not a coincidence both Jack and Sydnie were the last 2 acts and in the top 2 and Simon's whole no professionals in the top 2."

Moreover, this year's instalment of Britain's Got Talent notable announced Sydnie Christmas as the first act to receive a Golden Buzzer, courtesy of judge Amanda Holden, following her emotionally charged performance of Tomorrow from the musical Annie.
