Amanda Holden, who recently went head to head with the formidable Sharon Osbourne over X, formerly known as Twitter, is speaking out about the tussle with a remarkable sense of calm.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Britain’s Got Talent judge even offered an olive branch to her former costar.

Nearly two months after their feud, the 53-year-old admits she didn’t expect the quarrel to get quite so much public attention as it did, explaining that neither she nor Sharon seemingly took the disagreement too personally.

She told The Sun: “I was just sticking up for a friend and I know Sharon would stick up for a friend too.

“I would do it all again. And honestly, I wasn’t fazed.”

However, the iHeartRadio host also confessed that she hadn’t read Sharon’s now infamous final response in the fight.

She explained that her husband, Chris Hughes, was meant to read the message aloud to her but “turned and said to me: ‘The first line says ‘you’re beautiful and successful…’ and I cut him off, and said, ‘All right, stop there, stop there!’.”

Amanda praised the 71-year-old as a “tough cookie” and “survivor in this industry”, assuring that, despite their disagreement, she still looks up to the music manager.

Offering an olive branch in the future, Amanda hopes to “have a glass of Aperol with her one day” to “laugh about it”.

The pair clashed over Simon Cowell, Amanda’s current costar on Britain’s Got Talent, as Sharon made some choice comments about the industry mogul during her Celebrity Big Brother stint earlier this year.

Amanda then hit out in the press, telling reporters how she saw her fellow judge dissed on the reality show and dubbed Sharon’s behaviour “bitter and pathetic”.

The 71-year-old in turn posted her now infamous rant on X in early April, slamming the mum-of-one in a number of digs such as: “Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. Our worlds are totally different.”

The lengthy message seemed to mark the end of the discourse as Amanda kept a staunch silence on the matter until now.
