It comes as a massive casting call has been launched for the final series of Vera, with over 30 extras required as filming for the popular drama moves to a new location.

Over a month ago, ITV announced that the 14th series of Vera would be its last, concluding with two feature-length mysteries set to broadcast in early 2025.

A week after fans received the disappointing news that their beloved show was ending, filming commenced in Northumberland, where lead actress Brenda and co-star David Leon were spotted shooting a scene in Cambois.

Since then, the cast and crew have relocated to various locations including Gateshead, Blyth, Ashington, South Shields, Hartlepool and Whitley Bay.

It's now been revealed on social media that Alnwick will be one of the next filming locations, with numerous extras needed as the historic town hosts a staged Pagan parade.

Talent agency Ne14. tv posted a call-out seeking over 30 Asian and Black men aged between 18 and 35.

The post further stated that 30 of the selected men will need to be fitted for costumes prior to the filming date, as they will be 'highlighted' in the parade scene.

Bay of Fires is available to watch on ITVX, with a release date for ITV yet to be confirmed.
