Strictly Come Dancing's second week had viewers on the edge of their seats, with many already predicting the winner following a heart-stirring display.
The beloved BBC show dazzled audiences Saturday evening as ex-Love Island contestant Tasha Ghouri delivered a sensational performance that left both the judges and onlookers at home in awe. Emotions ran high as Tasha, moved to tears by her own grace, wowed everyone with her Viennese Waltz to "Misty Blue" by Dorothy Moore alongside pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
Swathed in a stunning cobalt blue gown, Tasha glided across the floor with such poise that head judge Shirley Ballas said it was the "dance of the night," confessing it made her "quite emotional". Anton Du Beke jokingly lamented: "Give us a chance, I wanted a fault so I could mark you down, seamless flow, immaculate frame, gorgeous footwork."
Craig Revel Horwood mirrored the sentiment, naming it the "dance of the night". Motsi Mabuse added her praise: "Love watching you, you brought us in, keep it up, amazing."
After their breathtaking performance, an overwhelmed Tasha shed tears of joy while racking up the season's first nines, summing up to a historic score of 35 points. This landing her and Aljaz in the record books for achieving the highest-ever score for a Viennese Waltz in the show's second week, reports the Mirror.
Strictly Come Dancing's host Claudia Winkleman highlighted that it wasn't just Tasha who was overcome with emotion, as she noted Tasha's father, Tarek, in tears in the audience.
No sooner had the dance finished than social media lit up with viewers rallying behind Tasha as their favourite to win. A viewer proclaimed: "Tasha #strictly #strictlycomedancing she had a standing ovation from Motsi and Shirley."
